Washing Synthetic hair extensions?

Hi. I have synthetic clip on hair extensions that i got form my local chatters hair salon. The brand is Pop and its ten piece straight hair synthetic hair pieces. They are NOT heat friendly.

I like to tye it up in a pony tail kinda like a side pony tail and i remove some form my hair so it doest look to bulky. But i recently groomed it because it had A LOT of knots in it, and after i grromed it, it was much softer and nice, BUT now it just looks too bulky and when i tye it up the ends are the most bulkies and its bad because it should be the other way around.

So here are my questions.

1. If i wash it, will it become less bulky and like how i first got it? or will it ruine it more?

2.what temperature of water do I use to wash them in?

3.Should I use shapoo and conditioner when I wash it? If so is there a specidal one I should buy or shoudl I use my own?

4.When i wear them down, for soem reason it looks really bad and bulky! liek a big clumy and it kind of looks like i've never had a hair cut kind like a cave woman lol, but on the box the person looked relaly good, is there a video that shows how top put them on?

thankyou! i know its a lot but im relaly desperate! pleas please! take the time, and answer as many as u can! thankyou!Washing Synthetic hair extensions?
I'm not really sure what the problem is since you haven't described it well. A pic would really help.l

But synthetic extensions are usually some sort of plastic, like orlon, kanekelon, or something like that. You can safely wash it with any mild detergent such as your regular shampoo. There won't be much oil on it, or styling aids, but that will all come off easily when washed. Use hand warm temps, swish in your soapy water a few times, and then rinse well. Blot (don't rub) and hang to dry. That should be it. Conditioners won't do much since they are usually waxes or oils and they won't do plastic any good.

As for the bulk you say you seem to have, maybe you are putting them in the wrong way? I thought the purpose of extensions was to add more hair (bulk) than you had. Because we can't see it, we don't know what you really mean.

The best thing is to go back to the store where you got them, and ask how to care for them and how to wear them. You should also be able to go into any salon and ask why they look so bulky to you. They have the experience, and will be able to actually see them and be able to give you the help you want.
