Go to a SaloonI need help with curling synthetic hair extensions?
I've had both synthetic and Remy hair extensions, and I've found with the synthetic hair that it's never a good idea to use heat on them. Though there are alternative ways to get the curls you're looking for.
If you're wanting loose, beach-like curls/waves, try lightly spraying the hair with a dilution of conditioner and water. After the hair is slightly damp, braid the hair into small braids and let them set overnight for them to dry. If you need them right away, you could blow dry them on a low heat.
If you want barrel curls, do the same dilution technique and dampen the hair. Curl the hair by either wrapping the hair lightly around big rollers or individually finger rolling them and bobby pin to the weave at the end of the hair. Do the same drying techniques as mentioned above.
You could also check out Youtube, they have a ton of tutorial videos dealing with synthetic hair. Hair extensions are really fun to experiment with, so I hope this helped.
Good Luck! :)
Synthetic hair isn't meant to curl...if you wanted to be able to style the extensions you should have gotten human hair. You've actually probably severely damaged the hair to by applying heat to it. The only option that will work with curling synthetic hair is to buy it already pre-curled.
Synthetic extensions wont curl because it isnt real hair. If you put heat to them they will melt. Your best bet is to try wetting them wrapping them around rollers and letting them dry over a lamp or something like a radiator but nothing extremely hot. but other then that nothing else
You cant curl them if there synthetic, they melt.
Synthetic cannot be curled. Only Human hair.
yeah i agree with angry bunny, if you dont know what you are doing got to a salon;;; and plus you will come out with the best results :)
